$1500 Dave Lambert Agricultural Scholarship
Overview:
The Niagara Peninsula Fruit & Vegetable Growers’ Association (NPF & VGA) is offering a $1,500 scholarship to any student accepted to or enrolled in post-secondary agricultural studies (returning to school for the fall term), who is from the Niagara Region and who demonstrates a passion and commitment to the industry.
The intake period will be open from March 1st - May 31st. Applications may be submitted by email (preferred), fax or mail during this time. Due to the volume of applications, those that are submitted after the intake period will not be considered.
Applicants are encouraged to visit our website www.npfvga.org/scholarship to access the application outline and read the criteria for eligibility.
The scholarship will be awarded to the successful recipient after their commencement of studies in September. The recipient will be notified and must agree to allow their name to be published in industry newsletters and on the NPF & VGA website.
Dave Lambert Agricultural Scholarship Eligibility
The NPF & VGA represents farmers who are engaged in the growing and marketing of fruits and vegetables in the Region of Niagara and surrounding areas.
Total Funding: $1,500
Scholarship Eligibility: Students must be:
- From the Regional Municipality of Niagara and in those portions of the Regions of East of Hamilton-Wentworth bounded by Highway #6 and north of the Grand River in Haldimand-Norfolk AND
- Graduating secondary school and attending a College or University agriculture-related program OR
- Currently enrolled in a College or University agriculture-related program (returning for the fall term)
Intake Period: Applications can be submitted between March 1st and May 31st. Scholarship funds are to be awarded to the successful candidate after commencement of their studies in September.
