GCSAA Turf Bowl

Overview:

Twelve students representing the Department of Plant Agriculture’s Associate Diploma in Turfgrass Management program recently competed in the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA) Turf Bowl competition in Orlando, Florida.  With nearly 60 universities and colleges participating from across the United States and Canada, the University of Guelph team placed sixth, the first time an international school has earned a top ten finish.

The Turf Bowl was part of the 2017 Golf Industry Show – an annual  conference that attracted 15,000 golf course superintendents and turf staff to the Orange County Convention Centre to share innovative ideas regarding turf management.
