Two teams of four Associate Diploma in Turfgrass Management students competed this year at GCSAA's 2014 Collegiate Turf Bowl on Feb 6th in Orlando.  The Turf Bowl Competition consists of physical and visual identification of samples, multiple choice, fill-in-the-blank, essay, short answer and matching questions.

The team of Michael Allan, Devan Kennedy, Paul Sullivan and Sean VanBeurden finished 24th and the team of Ryan Campbell, Geoff Hay, Brian Lewicki and Alex Taylor finished 39th. There were 71 teams in the event which was won by a team of students from the University of Maryland.

The students prepared for this event throughout the Fall semester with weekly study sessions organized by Dr. Eric Lyons.  While at the conference, the students attended various educational sessions.
