Honey Tasting Event for the United Way
Overview:
Today was the first Honey Tasting event in support of the United Way held at the Department of Plant Agriculture. 22 students and staff listened as Liz Lee spoke about her personal experience being a bee keeper. Honey harvested at different times during the summer months plus one from last last summer and two from Spain were sampled. Honey taste, texture and colour differs depending on when and where the bees are foraging.
Based on the popularity of this event, two sessions will be held next year.
Thank you Liz for a most interesting and tasty lunchtime honey session.
