Holly Byker was the recipient of the 2013-14 Ontario Graduate Fellowship Award. Holly has just begun her PhD project with her advisors Drs. Peter Sikkema and Darren Robinson. Holly's project is titled: Investigating mechanisms of resistance in glyphosate-resistant common ragweed (Ambrosia artemisiifolia). Her project consists of multiple smaller experiments adapted from studies on other glyphosate-resistant weeds which look individually at the known mechanisms of glyphosate-resistance to try and identify what is happening to the glyphosate in the resistant versus susceptible biotypes.

Holly also works with Drs. François Tardif, Chris Hall, and Mark Lawton (Monsanto).
