Ontario Crops Research Centre – Woodstock

Overview

The Department of Plant Agriculture operates the entire 150 ha. of the centre, although only 60 ha. are level and uniform enough for research use. About 30 ha. are systematically tile drained. A 18 m x 35 m building is used for machinery storage, threshing and sample storage and a converted tobacco kiln is used for crop drying. Major crops under study at Woodstock Centre include soybeans, white beans , corn, and cereal crops.

The Ontario Crops Research Centre – Woodstock is home to the annual Canada's Outdoor Farm Show, held every year in September. The farm show is Canada's "premier outdoor agricultural showcase" highlighting "the most innovative and technologically advanced agricultural products and services available".
